Fuel filter replacement for 3 - 10 year old Volkswagens.
Replacing fuel filters and Volkswagens recommend intervals will allow your engine to run smoothly. Over time the filter becomes blocked due to a build up of contaminants which the filter captures fuel or bacterial build up causes by condensation. This can lead to a lack of performance from your car, as the fuel tries to find it way through the blocked filter. It can also lead to premature wear and possible failure of the fuel pump, as it has to work much harder to pump the fuel to the engine. Replacing the fuel filter ensures that the engine operates efficiently and has a longer serviceable life.
